Designing a mobile app for leveraged retirement investing

Basic Capital is a US-based fintech startup focused on long-term investing through retirement accounts such as 401(k) and IRA. The product allows users to accelerate their investment growth by providing additional capital upfront in exchange for a monthly fee, operating within a highly regulated and complex financial domain.

I was the sole designer on the project, responsible for product design and visual direction of the mobile app. Working closely with the CEO, I translated complex financial logic and data-heavy flows into a clear, structured user experience. My role focused on designing scalable UI components and data representations that aligned with the existing brand while keeping the product usable and understandable for non-expert users.
